If you weren't an author what would you be?

In my dreams I'd be a sculptor and make HUGE pieces of art out of junk material, or a TV presenter making shows about walking in windswept landscapes.

When did you start writing?

In year four.  Miss Fox put me in the corner for talking too much and told me to do some handwriting. I realised that I liked sitting on my own, concentrating and writing with a fountain pen. I didn't start making up my own stories until years later.
